Considering that we are the smallest state in the nation, Rhode Island has developed and contributed an incredible number of on- and off-ice talents to the game of hockey. None are more noteworthy than the host of coaches we have developed.
The current crop of those head coaches is showcased in the May issue of USA Hockey Magazine (link below). However, they are just a sampling of those leaders who have distinguished themselves behind the bench and are not mentioned in this fine article. They include names like Bob O’Connor, Tim Army, Bill Mandigo, Tom Eccleston, Clark Donatelli, Bob Bellemore, Hank Coupe, and so many more. To all of them we owe a great debt of gratitude for helping to put Little Rhody on the international hockey map.
