2026 RIHHOF Enshrinement Celebration

It was another magnificent gathering of family, friends and former teammates, who joined us at historic Rhodes–on-the-Pawtuxet to pay tribute to the Hall of Fame’s “Class of 2026.”

Brad Boss, the “Father” of URI hockey and the benefactor who gave the university its own campus ice rink was the evening’s first HOF inductee. Enshrined posthumously were George Patrick Duffy, the longtime radio voice and PR Director of the RI Reds, and George Sage, former team owner and champion of the building of the Providence Civic Center.

Also installed were former US National Team player and NHLer, Eddie Lee, as well 2x All-American and US National Team star, Ed Zifcak. All honorees were escorted to the stage by members of our state’s heralded Blackstone Valley Co-op hockey team.

Special recognition was given to Mount St Charles’ longtime team physician, Dr. Jean “Doc” Guay, who was presented with the Hall’s Malcolm Greene Chace Memorial Trophy for his “Lifetime of Contributions to the Game of Hockey.”
