2025 RIHHOF Enshrinement Celebration

Another sold out gathering of family, friends, fans, former teammates, and hockey royalty joyfully mixed at historic Rhodeson-the-Pawtuxet to pay tribute to the inspiring careers and achievements of the RI Hockey Hall of Fame’s “Class of 2025.”

Of this year’s five new inductees, Bill Army joined his grandfather, father and brother as a HOF honoree, Ross Brooks transplanted from Toronto six decades ago to become both a player and pillar icon of RI hockey. They were joined by three distinguished inductees honored posthumously for careers that reached the height of their respective professions – Bob “OC” O’Connor as USA Hockey’s National-Coach-in ChiefTom “Woody” Woodcock for 40 years as a head trainer in the NHL – and Buster Clegg, once the youngest GM in all of pro hockey and champion of RI youth hockey development. Their respective family members delivered heartfelt acceptances.

Also honored was Yogi Gardiner, a coach who dedicated more than 50 years coaching boys and girls at the youth level, developing not only talented hockey players but model citizens, as well

This year, the Hall once again honored the current generation of RI hockey stars – the members of the 2025 Boys’ & Girls’ All-State Hockey Teams, as well as yet another Rhode Island youth team that captured a National Championship in the name of our great state.
